Lake Martin, AL – April 29, 2025 – The Lake Martin area celebrated a major milestone for agriculture, education, and community development with the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Tallapoosa County Ag Center on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The Ag Center will serve as the newest agricultural hub for youth programs, livestock shows, educational workshops, and community events. Representing a significant step forward in supporting our community’s deep agricultural roots, the center will foster continued growth and new opportunities for generations to come in the Lake Martin area.
Community leaders, local officials, agricultural partners, educators, and residents gathered to commemorate the opening, tour the new facility, and celebrate the impact this facility will have on both educational programs and economic growth for the county.
The Tallapoosa County Ag Center is now officially open, with the first event taking place on April 30, 2026 with a 4-H Pig Show. The center is located at 303 Main Street, Jacksons Gap, AL.
