Rick Carter returns to the Green Stage this Friday. Last year, Rick was joined by a strong group of musicians for our Labor Day Weekend event! Rick is a Southern musician, songwriter, and bandleader from Birmingham with over 50 years in the music industry. Starting his career at a young age, he became a key figure in the regional scene as a founding member of Telluride and co-founder of Rollin’ in the Hay, blending Southern rock, blues, country, and Americana.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists like Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, earned recognition from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Birmingham Area Musicians’ Association. Known as “The Hardest Working Man in Music,” Carter remains active today performing, recording, writing, and supporting Alabama’s music community.
