Tallapoosa School of Arts
Tallapoosa School of Art hosts intimate workshops in plein air oil, pastel, and watercolor painting, as well as studio-based classes led by some of the nation’s most respected artists and instructors. Plein air workshops are offered in the spring and fall, when mild temperatures and peaceful lake conditions create the perfect environment for painting outdoors amid quiet pine and hardwood forests and along Lake Martin’s 750 miles of shoreline. To ensure a personalized experience, all classes are limited to just 10 students. A full-service approach sets the school apart, with easels, art tables, catered meals, and on-site accommodations provided. Guests can also enjoy kayaks and canoes, relax on the docks and porches with their favorite beverages, and take in the stunning mountain and lake views that make this creative retreat truly unforgettable.
