Ryan Downing is a singer-songwriter and producer from Dadeville, AL. His influences are deep rooted in ‘60s and ‘70s classic rock and ‘60s folk singers/balladeers. He has released three solo albums, produced several albums and EPs for local artists in his studio, collaborated with artists across the world, is an avid vinyl record and vintage musical instrument collector, and a music history aficionado. His latest album, “Zodiac,” released in March 2025, shows Downing’s progression to a more confessional aspect to his songwriting, while maintaining his influences of the folksy storytelling of John Prine and Arlo Guthrie, the California shine of The Beach Boys, and the innovation of The Beatles. All in all, Downing’s sound is a melting pot of pure retro inspiration. Donations accepted to support DPAC community programs.
