The Great Backyard Bird Count

Wind Creek State Park is proud to support citizen science in conjunction with The Cornell Lab of Ornithology and The Audubon Society by hosting The Great Backyard Bird Count! There will be 4 opportunities to come birding with your local community starting everyday at 10AM from February 17th -20th. Our collected observations will be used to help bird populations nationwide. Following a brief 30 minute overview, we will walk to 4 different locations around the lake to conduct point counts. Binoculars will be provided for those that request a pair. However, we strongly recommend bringing your own pair if desired as these are in limited supply and will distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Please no pets. Free with paid admission to WCSP and to overnight guests.
