Lake Martin Songwriters Festival Presents The Marcus King Band as Centennial Concert Headliner

Alexander City, AL – July 20, 2026 – In celebration of 100 years of Lake Martin, the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival is back and bigger than ever, ready to set the stage July 23–26, 2026. This annual celebration brings together over 30 songwriters from across the country to share the stories behind the songs at multiple venues around the Lake Martin area.

As part of the Lake Martin Centennial Anniversary, the festival presents a special benefit concert featuring Grammy-nominated Nashville-based singer, guitarist, and songwriter Marcus King with supporting artists Jeffrey Steele and Charlie Argo. The concert will raise funds for the Lake Martin Arts Council and be distributed for the benefit of the community.

“We’re proud to host artists who have written for everyone from up-and-coming artists to country music legends,” said Sandra Fuller. “This is so much more than a music festival – it’s a celebration of storytelling, songwriting, and 100 years of Lake Martin.”

The festival is free to attend thanks to the support of generous sponsors, local businesses, and music lovers across the region. Enjoy free performances in Dadeville, Alexander City, and around the Lake during all 4 days of the festival.

The ticketed concert takes place Saturday, July 25 at The AMP on Lake Martin. Gates open at 5:00 PM, and music begins at 5:55 PM. Tickets start at $55 and can be purchased in advance on EventBrite.com.

Beyond the music, visitors are encouraged to explore all the area has to offer – boating, dining, shopping, and lakeside relaxation, making it the perfect summer weekend getaway.
