From October 10-12, Lake Martin will host the St. Croix Bassmaster Open, a key qualifying event in professional bass fishing. Anglers competing at this prestigious tournament must either qualify through previous events or the TNT Fireworks B.A.S.S. Nation. Those who succeed will have the opportunity to advance to the Bassmaster Elite Series. Throughout the season, pro anglers vie for points toward the coveted Progressive Bassmaster Angler of the Year title and a chance to qualify for the renowned Bassmaster Classic. The St. Croix Bassmaster Open plays a vital role in the path to professional bass fishing’s highest level, the Elite Series, which evolved from earlier events like the Bassmaster Tour, Top 150, and Top 100.
