Sun Festival

  A week-long schedule of 40+ individual events offeringsomething for every age including children and senior activities, art,exercise, a scavenger hunt, glow in the dark golf tournament and more,all culminating with the Jazz Fest weekend. Hosted by the AlexanderCity Chamber of Commerce. Attendees at various events include localresidents as well as visitors to our community from all across EastCentral Alabama.

Guided Nature Tour

Willow Point Trailhead Willow Point Cutoff Road, Alexander City

Let’s take “A WALK IN THE SHADE!” For almost two hours, we will be in the woods identifying the variety of plant and animal life we discover. In addition to learning from the finds in the forest, we will examine a nearby creek and search for wet residents keeping cool in summer temperatures. Although at a relaxed pace, this energetic hike will offer both learning and exercise. Insect repellent and sunscreen will be provided – bring your own drinking water and comfortable shoes.
