The clues will be shared on the Sun Festival\, Alexander City Chamber of Commerce\, and Alexander City Outlook Facebook pages at 6 am. When solved\, the riddle will lead you to an official Sun Festival Alexander City medallion worth $200. The medallion will be hidden within the Alexander City city limits. \nIf the medallion has not been found by 3 pm\, an additional clue will be given through all media outlets listed above. Should the medallion not be found on any given day\, it will roll to the next day along with a new medallion riddle for that day’s treasure as well. In this scenario\, more than one medallion is in play. When you find the medallion\, call Kowaliga Country 97.5 at 256-234-6221 and then take the medallion to the Alexander City Outlook\, during their normal business hours\, to collect your prize and have your picture made.

The club was established in 1960 and has been active since that time. The “Introduction to Sailing” will be held on Saturday\, June 6th 2026\, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Scheduled activities include:  \n\nA short course on the basics of sailing. \nBasic introduction to the parts of a sailboat. \nCapsizing and recovery demonstration. \n\nGuests will have an opportunity to skipper a small sailboat (if they so desire) and go sailing on larger boats with club members. Private tours will be given in and around the new club property. Lunch and refreshments will be served.  \nThe Dixie Sailing Club was re-located in 2012 to the 767 New Hope Church Road\, Alexander City\, Alabama 35010\, which is off Wicker Point Road.
