Wildlife Presentation-Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

February 26 @ 7:00 am - 1:00 pm

people with bunny

All about owls! Owls beat the springtime rush and have their young during the winter months. Discover WHY this is a good idea for predatory birds and learn about the multiple species that call Russell Forest home. Every part of this bird is designed to meet its survival needs. A live owl will be present for display and examination to highlight the physical features which make it a masterful nighttime hunter. Presentation is hands-on and features lots to touch, hold, and study. Appropriate for all ages – stop by and learn! Come anytime between the hours listed. No charge – everyone is welcome!

An owl will also accompany our Naturalist at the start of Russell Forest Run events on February 26th.
