Join us for the annual “Renew our Rivers” cleanup at Lake Martin! This collaborative effort, led by the Lake Martin Resource Association, Alabama Power Company, Russell Lands, and others, has successfully removed over 160 tons of trash and more than 600 tires from the area.
This year, we’ll focus on cleaning the littered shoreline and the roads leading to public boat ramps, and we’re encouraging neighborhood involvement throughout the Lake Martin community.
Event Details:
- Supplies Available: Pick up cleanup supplies at designated dumpster locations starting at 8:00 AM on Friday, November 1, and Saturday, November 2.
- Trash Disposal: Drop off bagged trash at the dumpsters from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on both days. Locations include Kowaliga Public Ramp, Real Island Marina, Wind Creek Park Marina, Big Fish Real Estate, Siggers Grocery, and the Union Public Boat Ramp.
- Volunteer Incentives: Volunteers who bring bagged trash will receive a custom-designed tee shirt featuring artwork from the annual “Renew our Rivers” art contest.
