SUMMARY:Commemoration of the 212th Anniversary of the Battle of Horseshoe Bend
DESCRIPTION:Horseshoe Bend National Military Park will host a commemoration of the 212th Anniversary of the Battle of Horseshoe Bend with a free events that recreate traditional Muscogee Creek life and frontier life in the year 1814\, while emphasizing the importance of the battle in US history through a variety of special demonstrations and interpretive programs. There will be speakers\, living history camps\, musket firings\, and a variety of children’s educational activities. Luminaries will light the battlefield in honor of over 800 fallen Redstick warriors\, in addition to speakers from the Muscogee Nation.
