Enjoy singer/songwriter Clay Evans at The Destination! Clay came to Nashville, but not to make Country music. With hints of the blues, soul, jazz, pop, and just a little country, he has crafted a sound all his own! Coming all the way from Kentucky for his first show on Southwind Stage, don’t miss Clay Evans!

Clay Evans sings a Southern rootsy style of music he calls Americana Soul. Think Dave Matthews meets Sturgill Simpson with a dash of Ben Harper. His songs were crafted mostly in Nashville, TN where he cowrote with some of the best songwriters in the business. Clay began his musical journey in Athens, GA where he started his first jam band Bluestring. The band was signed to Butch Trucks’ Flying Frog Records and he began touring the US in his early 20’s. He put out his first solo record “I Could Be You” in 2012 with the guidance of producer and multi-instrumentalist, Viktor Krauss. Clay has resided in the Bluegrass state for three years and is fresh off a 2-year hiatus from music.
