2022 Lake Martin Slalom Championship

Join us Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 at Porter’s Branch for the 2022 Lake Martin Slalom Championship!
On Friday, June 17 all participants will meet at Kowaliga Marina at 7:00 AM. There will be a boat to transport all skiers, parents and gear to slalom course at Porter’s Branch. Lunch will be provided for all skiers. We recommend younger skiers to stay through both rounds to receive maximum benefit from instruction to all.
On Saturday, June 18 the fun tournament will run from 7:00 AM to Noon. Skiers will compete based on age and performance from Friday’s clinic. Awards ceremony will be immediately after tournament scores are completed. We welcome all visitors to Porter’s Branch on Saturday morning to watch the tournament. There is plenty of room to raft up and enjoy the action!
The cost is $70 for non-USAWSWS members ($10 will be applied to a one time membership), and $60 for current USAWSWS members.
Team Russell Marine members Kate White and Payton Miller will be the coaches. Kate is the current Girls 5 Alabama state record holder and ranked in the top 10 nationally. Payton is currently the top Men’s 2 skier in Alabama and also ranked in the top 10 nationally.
Boat drivers Tim White and Doug Hamrick are USAWSWS trained boat drivers.
The towboat is a 2021 Ski Nautique provided by Russell Marine.
