Ever wanted to try sailing but didn’t know where to start? The Dixie Sailing Club is hosting a free Introduction to Sailing event on May 31st, and it’s the perfect chance to get out on the water and learn the ropes—no experience needed!
The day kicks off with a short class covering sailing basics, followed by hands-on practice aboard a real sailboat. You’ll even learn how to right a tipped boat—just in case! After that, you can hop on a Sunfish or Laser for your own mini sail or relax aboard one of our larger boats with a club member at the helm.
Lunch is provided, and the event is open to all ages. Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking to see what sailing is all about, we’d love to have you join us for a fun, laid-back day on beautiful Lake Martin.
